What is Meditation for me?

Meditation is a sacred time.

A time of listening to the sound of my breath. A time of stepping away from the chaos of the world and simply being. A time of putting myself first, of honouring my need for peace, my need for stillness, and my need to connect. A time to surrender to the now.

Meditation is a time of regulation. It is not a fancy gimmick. Meditation is a tool for life. It teaches you that you are more than the chaos surrounding you. It teaches you that you are the universe, that you are expansion.

In the silence of meditation, the whispers of your own wisdom can finally be heard.

To my mind, meditation is calming.

To my emotions, meditation is soothing.

To my body, meditation is relaxation.

To my soul, meditation is nourishment.

“Meditation is dropping all the labels and expectations that are placed upon you — as a husband, wife, mother, child, worker, whatever your role may be — and simply being you.

Meditation is coming home to yourself.”
